- Contact and order details you submit: name, address, phone, email (if provided), tank size, requested gallons, delivery instructions, how you heard about us, and whether you choose automatic delivery.
- Payment processing: for card payments, our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor collects card details and securely stores your payment method to enable charges. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; we retain non-sensitive tokens only.
- Technical and usage data: basic logs and analytics (such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed) to operate and improve the site.
How we use information
- To schedule and deliver heating oil, confirm orders, and communicate with you about your deliveries, safety issues, and account-related matters.
- To process payments securely through our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Your payment method is stored securely (we do not store your full card number) so you can place future orders without re-entering your card details.
- If you enroll in automatic delivery, to schedule future deliveries and charge your stored payment method as described in our Terms of Service.
- To improve operations, monitor site performance, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
- Payment processors: We use a secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment processor to handle credit card transactions. Your card details are encrypted and stored securely by the processor; we do not have access to your full card number.
- No selling of data: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Cookies and analytics
We use browser storage and similar technologies to display current pricing and carry your order details to the confirmation page. Our payment processor may use its own necessary technologies to tokenize and process your card. We do not currently load Google Analytics on this site. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated and any legally required consent controls will be provided. You can control or delete browser storage through your browser settings.
Data retention
Order records are retained as required for operations, accounting, and legal compliance.
Your choices
- You may update or request deletion of your contact information by calling 860-747-5412. We may retain certain records as required for accounting and legal purposes.
- You may opt out of promotional or non-essential messages at any time by contacting us. We may still send you service-related messages about active orders, deliveries, safety issues, or your automatic-delivery status.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information. Payment card details are encrypted and stored by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We never store your full credit card number on our servers. We retain only a secure reference to your payment method, which allows us to process charges for current and future deliveries.
Intended audience
Our services are intended for residential and commercial customers who are homeowners, renters, or authorized property representatives age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date will change when updates are posted.
